Corlett City Veterinary Hospital Take Over
We would like to inform you of the change of ownership and of the future of Corlett City Veterinary Hospital. It is an honour and privilege for us to officially take over the client and patient records of Corlett City Veterinary Hospital from Dr Vic Liebmann on 16 October 2017. Dr Liebmann is an old friend and colleague and our acquaintance dates back for a long time as with most of you who have known Dr Vic for a long time.
Dr Liebmann has decided to retire and because of the changes in demographics of the current location of Corlett City Veterinary Hospital, Dr Liebmann sold the practice building to a developer who plans to put up a new motor dealership on the site. The plan is for the current building to be completely demolished to make way for this new development. On this basis, the practice is effectively now moving from its current location to Birnam Veterinary Clinic on the other side of the M1 highway. Birnam Vet Clinic is only 2.2 km from Corlett City Vet. If you travel in a westerly direction from Louis Botha on Corlett Drive (going towards Wanderers Cricket Stadium), you go under the M1 highway, turn right at the traffic light (where you would turn left if you were going to Melrose Arch) and take the first road left (Fort Street). Birnam Vet Clinic is one block up on the left-hand side, diagonally across from the Nando’s.
We realise that this change may come unexpected, but we look forward to having Dr Liebman locum for us from time to time so you may still be able to see him at Birnam Vet Clinic in future. Our experienced and dedicated healthcare team look forward to serving you and your family pets well into the future.
Dr Wessels did not run accounts and we will persist with this practice and payment will be required at the time of treatment or discharge.
We work on an appointment system which is different from how it was at Corlett City Vet Hospital and we ask that you phone in advance on 011 887 8158 to make an appointment. Appointments help us plan our days better and reduce your waiting time, should you walk in at the same time as three other pet owners.
Please visit our website at www.birnamvet.co.za and read about our values and the benefit to you on “About Us”. Our website also provides a comprehensive list of the services we provide as well as some valuable information on a wide array of pet-related health topics written by our vets. We encourage you to visit our website for qualified information first before you enter the ocean of the World Wide Web to look for answers to your pet-related questions.
We hope that we will be able to build forward on the legacy of care left by Dr Liebmann. Our slogan “A Scientific approach with a gentle touch” motivates us to provide world-class veterinary diagnostics and treatment, always remembering that we are dealing with dear family members who deserve dedicated loving care.
Birnam Vet Clinic is part of a bigger group of veterinary practices and one of the benefits of becoming part of a bigger group is that we have seven vets who can apply their minds to a case when the need arises. If we cannot get to the bottom of your animal’s problem and cannot provide specialised treatment should it be required, we will refer you to a relevant specialist, ensuring your pet receives the best treatment available in South Africa.
We look forward to meeting you and your pets.
Best regards
Dr Joubert Viljoen, Dr Jaco Viljoen and the healthcare team at Birnam Vet – Desiré, Lorraine, Vee, Bev, Alpheus, Eliah, Goodness and Evelyn
